# ARK Server Not Showing in the List? How to Find and Join It

> ARK server not showing in the list? Wait for the ready line, use the Unofficial filter, add it to Steam favourites with port 27015 or join by IP.

If your ARK: Survival Evolved server is not showing in the list, first wait until the panel console shows `Waiting commands for 127.0.0.1:27020`; before that the map is still loading. Then search under **Unofficial** in **Join ARK** with the password filter off, or add the server to Steam favourites with your IP and port 27015, or join with `open <IP>:7777` in the in-game console.

## Quick checks

| Check | What to do |

| Is it ready? | The panel shows "running" before ARK is joinable. Wait for `Waiting commands for 127.0.0.1:27020` (about 10 minutes on a first start). |
| Right game? | ARK: Survival Ascended can't see or join an ASE server. |
| Right filter? | In **Join ARK**, choose **Unofficial**, allow password-protected servers and don't hide full servers. |
| Right name? | Search for part of your **Server name** from **Game settings**. |
| Same game version? | The server updates on start when **Auto-update server** is on. Update your game too. |

## How to join without the server list

**1. Copy your IP**

Copy the server address from the top of the panel, for example `203.0.113.10`.

**2. Add it to Steam favourites**

In Steam, open **View** > **Game Servers** > **Favorites**, click **Add a server** and enter your IP with the query port: `203.0.113.10:27015`. Then click **Connect**.

**3. Or use the in-game console**

In the ARK main menu, press **Tab** and type the command below with the game port 7777.

## Ports your ARK server uses

| Port | Used for |

| 7777 | Game (joining) |
| 7778 | Peer port |
| 27015 | Query: Steam and in-game server browser |
| 27020 | RCON: the panel console |

Leave the **Rcon Port** and **Query Port** on the **Startup** page as they are. Changing them to a port your server doesn't have breaks the server list and the panel console.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why does my server show in Steam but not in game?

The in-game list depends on its filters. Steam favourites and the `open` command skip them and reach the same server.

### Players get kicked by BattlEye. What can I do?

BattlEye anti-cheat is on by default (**Battle Eye** is `1` on the **Startup** page). If your group doesn't want it, stop the server, set **Battle Eye** to `0` and start it again. The server then runs with `-NoBattlEye`.

### My server disappeared after an update. Why?

Players and server must run the same version. Restart the server so it updates, and update your game in Steam.
