Check REGISTER_TO_LOBBY, look for CONNECTED TO LOBBY in the console, and fix missing content or CSP errors. If your Assetto Corsa server isn't showing in the online list, open the Game Panel console and look for `CONNECTED TO LOBBY`. If it isn't there, check that `REGISTER_TO_LOBBY=1` in `cfg/server_cfg.ini` and that the server started without errors. If the server is listed but players can't join, they are usually missing the track or cars, have a different version of them, or need a newer CSP. ## Quick checks | Check | Where | Fix | | - | - | - | | Server is running | Panel console | Start it and wait for `CONNECTED TO LOBBY` | | Lobby registration is on | `REGISTER_TO_LOBBY` in `cfg/server_cfg.ini` | Set it to `1` and restart | | Searching the right name | Online list | Search the exact `NAME` from `server_cfg.ini` (default `AC_Server`) | | Track and cars match | Players' PCs | Install the same track and cars, same versions | | CSP version | Players' PCs | Update CSP if the server requires it | | Password | **Startup** > **Server Password** | Give players the current password | | Ban | `blacklist.txt` | Remove the Steam ID and restart | ## How to read the console Open the [console](https://help.freakhosting.com/portals/game-panel/how-to-use-the-server-console.md) after a start. A healthy start shows, in this order: | Console line | What it means | | - | - | | `CALLING ... lobby.ashx/register?name=...` | The server registers with the Kunos lobby, sending its name, track and cars | | `RESPONSE: OK,...` | The lobby accepted it | | `CONNECTED TO LOBBY` | The server is in the online list | | `SESSION: Practice` | The first session is running | If the server stops before these lines, the last lines usually name the problem, for example a track or car folder it can't find. Check that `TRACK`, `CONFIG_TRACK` and `CARS` match folder names in `content/tracks/` and `content/cars/` exactly, and that `MAX_CLIENTS` is not higher than the track's number of pits. ## How to fix a server that isn't listed **1. Check REGISTER\_TO\_LOBBY** Stop the server, open `cfg/server_cfg.ini` in **Files** and make sure `REGISTER_TO_LOBBY=1`. **2. Undo recent changes** If you just edited the config or uploaded content, check those lines first. Restore a [backup](https://help.freakhosting.com/portals/game-panel/how-to-create-and-restore-backups.md) if you can't find the mistake. **3. Start and watch the console** Start the server and wait for `CONNECTED TO LOBBY`. **4. Search by name** In Content Manager's online list or the game's own list, search for your server's exact name. The list is long, so searching is faster than scrolling. ## Why players can't join a listed server | What players see or notice | Cause | Fix | | - | - | - | | Missing track or car | They don't have the content | Share the exact downloads | | Kicked straight after joining with a mod car | Their car data differs from the server's `data.acd` | Everyone uses the same car version; upload new server data after updates. That is the default `NAME`. Change it in `cfg/server_cfg.ini` and restart. ### Can I change the server's ports to fix connection problems? No. The panel writes the game and HTTP ports into `server_cfg.ini` at every start. If you think a port is the problem, [open a ticket](https://freakhosting.com/clientarea/submitticket.php). ### The server was listed yesterday. Why not now? Check that it is still running and that **Auto Update** (`1`) hasn't left players on an older game version than the server. Players should update Assetto Corsa through Steam. ### Is my server under attack?
