# CS2 Server Guide: Set Up and Run a Counter-Strike 2 Server

### How long does a new CS2 server take to install?

The panel downloads Counter-Strike 2 from Steam, which is about 68 GiB. Most actions are unavailable until the install finishes. See [getting started](https://help.freakhosting.com/games/counter-strike-2/getting-started-with-your-cs2-server.md).

### Do I need a GSLT for a CS2 server?

Yes, if you want it in the server browser. Without a Game Server Login Token the server is not listed. See [set the GSLT](https://help.freakhosting.com/games/counter-strike-2/how-to-set-the-gslt-steam-token-on-a-counter-strike-2-server.md).

### Can I install plugins on my CS2 server?
