# CS:GO Server Not Showing in the Server Browser: Fixes

> CS:GO server not showing in the server browser? Add a valid GSLT, keep sv_lan 0 in server.cfg, add it to Steam favourites, or join directly with connect.

If your FREAKHOSTING CS:GO server isn't showing in the server browser, first check that **Steam Account Token** on **Startup** holds a valid GSLT. With the default `0`, the server never logs in to Steam and isn't listed. Also keep `sv_lan 0` in `csgo/cfg/server.cfg`. You can always skip the list: type `connect 203.0.113.10:27015` in the CS:GO console, using your own address.

## How to make your CS:GO server show in the list

**1. Add a valid GSLT**

Paste your token into **Steam Account Token** on **Startup**. See [add a GSLT](https://help.freakhosting.com/games/csgo/how-to-add-a-gslt-to-your-csgo-server.md).

**2. Check sv\_lan**

Open **Files**, go to `csgo/cfg/server.cfg` and make sure it says `sv_lan 0`. `sv_lan 1` limits the server to LAN players.

**3. Restart**

[Restart the server](https://help.freakhosting.com/portals/game-panel/how-to-start-stop-and-restart-your-game-server.md). Then type `status` in the [console](https://help.freakhosting.com/portals/game-panel/how-to-use-the-server-console.md) and check it's no longer `disconnected from Steam3`.

**4. Search by name**

Look for the name set in `hostname` in `server.cfg`. A clear, unique name is easier to find.

## Join without the server list

| CS:GO console | Turn on the developer console in the game settings, then type `connect 203.0.113.10:27015` |
| Steam favourites | In Steam, open **View** > **Game Servers** > **Favourites**, add `203.0.113.10:27015` and connect from there |

Use the IP and port shown at the top of your server in the [Game Panel](https://games.freakhosting.com), not the example address.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why can friends join by IP but not find my server?

The server is running but not listed. The usual cause is a missing or invalid GSLT. Check **Steam Account Token** and the `status` output.

### Can CS2 players see my CS:GO server?

No. CS2 and CS:GO are separate games. Players need the standalone CS:GO app (App ID 4465480). See [CS:GO legacy vs CS2](https://help.freakhosting.com/games/csgo/csgo-legacy-server-vs-cs2.md).

### Does a password hide my server from the list?
