Don't Starve Together server commands are Lua functions such as `c_save()`, `c_rollback(1)` and `c_announce("text")`. On FREAKHOSTING, type them into the Game Panel **Console** to run them on your overworld. In the game, admins open the console with `~`, press Ctrl to switch to remote mode and type the same commands. Open the console** Open your server in the [Game Panel](https://games.freakhosting.com) and click **Console**. See the [console guide](https://help.freakhosting.com/portals/game-panel/how-to-use-the-server-console.md). **2. Type the command** Type the command exactly, for example `c_save()`, and press Enter. **3. Read the result** The answer appears in the console output. Commands typed in the panel console run on the overworld (Master). The caves run as a second server alongside it. ## How to run a command in game **1. Become admin** Add your Klei User ID to `adminlist.txt`. See [add admins](https://help.freakhosting.com/games/dont-starve-together/how-to-add-admins-to-a-dont-starve-together-server.md). **2. Open the console** Press `~` (tilde) in game. **3. Switch to remote mode** Press Ctrl with the console open. Remote mode sends the command to the server instead of running it on your PC. Most admin commands only work in remote mode. ## Server and world commands | Command | What it does | Example | | - | - | - | | `c_save()` | Saves the world now. The server also saves at the end of every day | `c_save()` | | `c_shutdown(true)` | Saves and shuts down. `c_shutdown(false)` shuts down without saving. With no value it saves | `c_shutdown()` | | `c_rollback(count)` | Rolls the world back by the number of saves you give. With no number it goes back one save | `c_rollback(2)` | | `c_announce("text")` | Shows a server announcement to every player | `c_announce("Restart in 5 minutes")` | The **Stop** button in the Game Panel already sends `c_shutdown()`, so your world is saved when you stop the server normally. ## Player commands | Command | What it does | Example | | - | - | - | | `c_listallplayers()` | Lists the players online with their numbers. It can be unreliable in current versions | `c_listallplayers()` | | `TheNet:Kick(userid)` | Kicks a player by their user ID. In game, kicking from the scoreboard is easier | `TheNet:Kick("KU_AbC12345")` | | `TheNet:Ban(userid)` | Bans a player by their Klei User ID | `TheNet:Ban("KU_AbC12345")` | | `c_connect("ip", port, "password")` | In the game client: joins a server directly. Leave out the password if there is none | `c_connect("203.0.113.10", 10999, "yourpassword")` | To find a player's Klei User ID, ask them to check the **USER INFO** page under **Account** in the game's main menu. Type `c_rollback(1)` in the Game Panel console to go back one save, or a higher number to go back further. With **Save automatically** on, the server saves at the end of every in-game day, so one step is usually one day. Make a [panel backup](https://help.freakhosting.com/portals/game-panel/how-to-create-and-restore-backups.md) first if you're unsure. ### Why does my command do nothing in game? You are probably in local mode. Press Ctrl with the console open to switch to remote mode, and check that you are in `adminlist.txt`. ### Do I need quotes around names and text? Yes. Text such as announcements and Klei User IDs goes in double quotes: `c_announce("Hello")`. Numbers don't: `c_rollback(2)`. ### Can I use cheat commands like c\_godmode on my server? Yes, as an admin in remote mode.
