# Enshrouded Dedicated Server Guide: Setup, Settings and Fixes

This Enshrouded dedicated server guide lists every FREAKHOSTING help page for Enshrouded. Your server runs the Enshrouded 1.0 dedicated server, and the Game Panel has a **Game settings** page under **GAME SETTINGS** for the server name, password, chat, player group permissions, presets and every game rule. ## Frequently asked questions

### Where do I change my Enshrouded server settings?

In **Game settings** under **GAME SETTINGS**. It checks your values, shows a review of the changes and keeps a copy of the old file. See [Game settings](https://help.freakhosting.com/games/enshrouded/how-to-change-enshrouded-game-settings.md).

### Is Enshrouded still in Early Access?

No. Enshrouded 1.0 was released on 15 October 2026. Early Access worlds are converted to the new save format the first time they load.

### Are characters saved on the server?

No. Characters are saved on each player's PC. The server keeps the world.

### How many players can join my Enshrouded server?

Up to 16. **Player slots** in **Game settings** shows your server's limit, which is set by your hosting plan.
