# Minecraft Server Guide: Set Up, Run and Fix Your Server

This Minecraft server guide covers everything you can do with a FREAKHOSTING Minecraft server. ## What does a FREAKHOSTING Minecraft server include?

Every Minecraft server runs Java Edition. Bedrock players can join through [GeyserMC](https://help.freakhosting.com/games/minecraft/how-to-install-configure-geysermc-on-your-minecraft-server.md). On top of the standard Game Panel tools (console, files, backups, schedules, databases and alerts), your server has a **Minecraft settings** group in the sidebar:

| **Server Properties** | Change `server.properties` settings in plain language: MOTD, difficulty, game mode, player slots, view distance, whitelist and more. |
| **Players** | Manage operators, the whitelist, banned players and banned IPs. |
| **Worlds** | Install maps from CurseForge in one click, switch the active world, rename and delete worlds. |
| **Plugins** | Install plugins from Modrinth, Hangar, SpigotMC or CurseForge on plugin servers such as Paper. |
| **Mods** | Shown instead of **Plugins** when your server runs Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt. |
| **Modpacks** | Install a whole modpack from CurseForge, Modrinth or Feed The Beast, with a backup first. |

### Can Bedrock players join my Minecraft server?

Yes. Your server runs Java Edition, and Bedrock players on phones, tablets and Windows can join through the free Geyser and Floodgate plugins on a Paper server. See [GeyserMC](https://help.freakhosting.com/games/minecraft/how-to-install-configure-geysermc-on-your-minecraft-server.md).

### Which server type should I pick?

### Which Minecraft versions can I run?

### Where do I see why my server stopped?
