# open.mp Server Not Showing in the Server List: Fixes

> open.mp server not showing in the list? Turn on Show in the server list and Allow queries, keep LAN mode off, restart, or join by IP and port in favourites.

If your open.mp server isn't showing in the server list, open **Game settings** and check that **Show in the server list** and **Allow queries** are on and **LAN mode** is off, then save and restart. Make sure the server is running. You don't need the list to play: add the address from **Overview**, for example `203.0.113.10:7777`, to your favourites in the open.mp launcher and connect.

## How to make your open.mp server show in the list

**1. Open Game settings**

Open your server and click **Game settings**.

**2. Turn on the listing**

In **Server**, turn on **Show in the server list**. It announces the server to the open.mp and SA-MP lists.

**3. Allow queries**

Turn on **Allow queries**. With it off, the browser can't read your server's name, player count and rules, although players can still join by address.

**4. Check LAN mode**

In **Network**, make sure **LAN mode** is off. With LAN mode on, players on the internet can't join.

**5. Save and restart**

Click **Review and save**, then **Save changes**, and **Restart now**. Wait until the [console](https://help.freakhosting.com/portals/game-panel/how-to-use-the-server-console.md) shows `[Info] Legacy Network started on port`.

**6. Search by name**

Give the list a few minutes, then search for your exact **Server name** in the launcher or on the [open.mp server list](https://open.mp/servers).

## How to join without the server list

The list is only for finding servers. Anyone with your address can join:

1. On **Overview**, copy the **ADDRESS**. It looks like `203.0.113.10:7777`.
2. Send it to your players.
3. In the open.mp launcher or the SA-MP 0.3.7 client, add the address to favourites and connect.

## Frequently asked questions

### My friends can join by IP but can't find the server. Why?

**Show in the server list** or **Allow queries** is probably off, or the list hasn't refreshed yet. Turn both on, restart, and search for the exact name.

### Does a server password hide my server?

No. A password stops people joining without it. To hide the server, turn off **Show in the server list**.

### The server shows in the list but nobody can connect. What now?

Check that the server is running and that players use the IP and port from **Overview**. If you set a password, they need it. If it still fails, [open a ticket](https://freakhosting.com/clientarea/submitticket.php) with the time you tried.

### Can I hide my server from the list on purpose?

Yes. Turn off **Show in the server list**, save and restart. Players can still join with the address.
