# Risk of Rain 2 Dedicated Server Guide: Setup, Settings and Modes

This Risk of Rain 2 dedicated server guide lists every FREAKHOSTING help page for Risk of Rain 2 (RoR2). ## Frequently asked questions

### How many players can join my Risk of Rain 2 server?

Risk of Rain 2 is made for you and up to three friends, and `sv_maxplayers` defaults to 4. **Max Players** on **Startup** shows the slots in your plan and is read only. For more slots, [open a ticket](https://freakhosting.com/clientarea/submitticket.php).

### Where do I change my Risk of Rain 2 server name?

On **Startup**, in **Server Hostname**. Don't use double quotes in the name. The new name applies the next time the server starts.

### Can I play Eclipse on a dedicated server?

Yes. Eclipse works in multiplayer, and the lobby uses the lowest Eclipse level of all players. See [Eclipse mode](https://help.freakhosting.com/games/risk-of-rain-2/playing-eclipse-mode-on-dedicated-server.md).

### Does my Risk of Rain 2 server have an admin list?
