# How to Teleport Players in Sons of the Forest

> Teleport players across the island on your Sons of the Forest server using console coordinates. Learn the teleport commands and common landmark positions.

> The Sons of the Forest island is significantly larger than its predecessor, making manual travel between caves and bases a time-consuming task. Administrators can use the `goto` command within the F1 console to instantly relocate themselves or their companions to specific coordinates or player locations.

## Coordinate-Based Teleportation

The primary method for moving across the world is using X, Y, and Z coordinates.

* **Command:** `goto [X] [Z] [Y]`
* **Spatial Logic:**
  * **X:** East/West position.
  * **Z:** North/South position.
  * **Y:** Vertical height (Altitude).
* **Important Note:** In the Unity engine (which powers SotF), **Y is height**. If you enter a low Y value while teleporting to a mountainous region, you may spawn deep underground or fall through the map geometry.

## Player-to-Player Teleport

On dedicated servers where administrative mods are installed, you can often use simplified player-based commands:

1. **Request:** `goto [PlayerName]` (Relocates you directly to that player's current position).
2. **Summon:** `bring [PlayerName]` (Forces the player to your current location).
