# How to Use the Vampire Lockbox in V Rising

> In a ruthless PvP environment, walls can be breached and chests can be looted. The **Vampire Lockbox** serves as the only absolute guarantee of safety. Items placed within this specific container cannot be stolen, even if your castle is completely destroyed by a siege golem.

## Mechanics & Limitations

### 1. Raid Immunity

The Lockbox is mechanically distinct from standard chests. When a player interacts with an enemy Lockbox, it simply will not open. It does not have durability in the same way standard furniture does during a raid.

### 2. Building Limit

* **Hard Limit:** You can only construct **one (1)** Vampire Lockbox per Castle Heart.
* **Config:** This limit is hardcoded in the game's core logic to prevent players from storing 100% of their loot in safety. The design philosophy forces players to risk their resources.

### 3. Restrictions

* **Soul Shards:** The powerful endgame artifacts (Soul Shards of Solara, Behemoth, and Winged Horror) **cannot** be placed inside a Lockbox. They must be displayed in the open or stored in standard chests, ensuring they remain in play for other factions to steal.
