# Valheim Dedicated Server Guide: Setup, Settings, Mods and Fixes

This Valheim dedicated server guide lists every FREAKHOSTING help page for Valheim. Your server runs the Valheim dedicated server with BepInEx ready for mods, and has four Valheim pages in the Game Panel: **Valheim settings** (name, world, password, crossplay and saving), **Admins and bans**, **Worlds** and **Mods** (Thunderstore). ## Frequently asked questions

### Can I change world modifiers in the Game Panel?

Yes. Open **Startup** and set **World Preset** or single modifiers such as **Death Penalty**, **Raid Frequency** or **No Map**, then restart. They also apply to an existing world. See [world modifiers](https://help.freakhosting.com/games/valheim/world-modifiers-no-map-hardcore.md).

### Does my Valheim server support mods?

Yes. BepInEx is already installed, and the **Mods** page installs mods from Thunderstore with their dependencies.

### How do players join my Valheim server?

With the **Join IP** from the panel, from the in-game server list, or with the join code when **Crossplay** is on.

### How do I back up my Valheim world?

Use **Backups** in the Game Panel for a full copy. Valheim also keeps its own world backups, set under **Saving and backups** in **Valheim settings**.
