# How to Manage Auto-Renewal for Services

> Enable and configure automatic renewal settings for your FREAKHOSTING services. Manage payment schedules and ensure uninterrupted hosting with auto-renewal.

## Continuous Service Uptime

Auto-renewal is the most reliable way to prevent accidental service suspension. When enabled, our billing system will automatically attempt to pay your upcoming invoices using your stored payment method or account credit, ensuring your servers stay online without manual intervention.

## Configuring Auto-Renewal

Follow these steps to manage the renewal status of your services.

  <Step title="Open My Services">
    From the left sidebar, go to **Services → My Services**, then click the **Actions** button next to the service and choose **Manage** (or click the service name) to open its **Product Details** page.

  <Step title="Find the Billing & Renewal Card">
    At the top of the Product Details page you will see the **Billing & Renewal** card, which controls how the service renews and is billed.

  <Step title="Toggle Automatic Renewal">
    Use the **Automatic renewal** switch to turn it **On** or **Off**. When **On**, upcoming invoices are charged automatically to your saved payment method or account credit.

  <Step title="Confirm a Payment Source">
    Make sure you have a [saved payment method](https://freakhosting.com/clientarea/clientarea.php?action=paymentmethods) or sufficient [account balance](https://freakhosting.com/clientarea/clientarea.php?action=addfunds) so the system can process the renewal.

## How It Works

    Our system attempts to process auto-renewals **7 to 10 days** before the invoice due date. This buffer ensures that if a payment fails (e.g., expired card), you have ample time to update your details before the service is suspended.

  <Accordion title="Using Account Credit First">
    The billing panel is programmed to always check your **Account Balance** first. If you have enough credit, it will be applied automatically, and your secondary payment method will not be charged.

  Auto-renewal will fail if your stored card is expired or has insufficient funds. We recommend reviewing your **Payment Methods** page every 6 months to keep your saved cards accurate.
