# How to Manage Email and Notification Preferences

> Choose exactly which account, billing, and service emails you receive from FREAKHOSTING, plus affiliate and mailing-list notifications.

## Controlling What Lands in Your Inbox

FREAKHOSTING sends a range of emails about your account, billing, and services. You can fine-tune exactly which categories you receive from your account's **Email Preferences**.

## Updating Your Email Preferences

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open My Account">
    Click your **name** at the bottom of the left sidebar and select **My Account**.

  <Step title="Find Email Preferences">
    Scroll to the **Email Preferences** section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Toggle Categories">
    Enable or disable each category, then save your changes.

## Available Email Categories

| Category             | What it covers                                            |
| :------------------- | :-------------------------------------------------------- |
| **General Emails**   | All account-related emails.                               |
| **Invoice Emails**   | New invoices, reminders, and overdue notices.             |
| **Support Emails**   | Copies of all support ticket communication.               |
| **Product Emails**   | Welcome emails, suspensions, and other lifecycle notices. |
| **Domain Emails**    | Registration, transfer, and renewal notices.              |
| **Affiliate Emails** | Affiliate program notifications.                          |

  ### Stay Informed About Billing

  We recommend keeping **Invoice Emails** and **Product Emails** enabled. Disabling them means you may miss renewal reminders or suspension warnings, which can lead to unexpected service interruptions.

## Other Notifications

    On the **My Account** page you can toggle **Affiliates notification** to receive an email whenever a new referral is added to your account.

  <Accordion title="In-panel notifications">
    The **bell icon** in the top-right corner of the panel shows account alerts while you are logged in.
