# How to Manage Saved Payment Methods

> Add, update, set a default, and remove saved cards from the FREAKHOSTING Payment Methods page for faster checkout and reliable auto-renewals.

## Managing Your Saved Cards

Saving a payment method lets FREAKHOSTING renew your services automatically and makes checkout faster. This guide shows how to add, update, set a default, and remove cards from the **Payment Methods** page.

## Adding a Payment Method

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Account Menu">
    Click your **name** at the bottom of the left sidebar.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Payment Methods">
    Choose **Payment Methods** to open the management page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a New Card">
    Click **Add New Card**, enter your card details, and save. Your card is stored securely with our payment processor.

## Managing Existing Cards

| Action             | What it helps                                                        |
| :----------------- | :------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Set a default**  | Mark one card as default so it is used first for automatic renewals. |
| **Update details** | Replace an expiring card with new details to avoid failed renewals.  |
| **Remove a card**  | Delete cards you no longer use to keep your records tidy.            |

  ### Card Security

  We never store your full card number on our servers. All sensitive details are tokenized and held securely by our payment processors (Stripe / Revolut).

  ### Avoid Failed Renewals

  If your saved card expires, [automatic renewals](/portals/billing/how-to-manage-auto-renewal-for-services) will fail. Review your saved cards every few months to keep them valid.
