How to Change rDNS on the VPS Control Panel

Introduction:

Reverse DNS (rDNS) is a crucial aspect of networking that allows you to map an IP address back to a hostname. This guide will walk you through the steps to change the rDNS for your Virtual Private Server (VPS) via the Control Panel.

Steps:

Access the Control Panel:
- Launch your preferred web browser and navigate to the Control Panel.

Select Your VPS:
- Identify your VPS from the dashboard and click on Manage to access its management options.

Go to Network Tab:
- In the management interface, navigate to the Network tab.

Open Reverse DNS Settings:
- Click on the Reverse DNS button.

Ensure A Record Exists:
- You must have an A RECORD set for the DNS and the IP address for the rDNS to work.

Insert Preferred DNS:
- Enter the preferred DNS in the provided box.

Update rDNS:
- Click on the Update button.

Processing Time:
- Please wait; rDNS requests are processed manually and it might take up to 24 hours to update.
