How to Enable Two-factor Authentication on the VPS Control Panel

Introduction:

Enhancing the security of your Virtual Private Server (VPS) is crucial. This guide will walk you through the steps to enable Two-factor Authentication (2FA) in the VPS Control Panel, adding an extra layer of protection to your account.

Steps:

Access the Control Panel:
- Launch your preferred web browser and navigate to the Control Panel.

Navigate to Security Settings:
- Inside the dashboard, click on the Security button to access the security settings.

Install an OTP Authentication App:
- Install a One-Time Password (OTP) authentication app such as Authy, 2FAS, or Google Authenticator on your mobile device.

Set Up the Authenticator App:
- Scan the QR code displayed on the Control Panel using the authenticator app, or manually input the secret code provided.

Enter the Verification Code:
- Input the six-digit code generated by the authenticator app into the designated field in the Control Panel.

Activate TOTP:
- Press the Activate TOTP button to enable Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) authentication.

Optional:

- Using a YubiKey:
- If you are using a YubiKey, insert and tap your YubiKey to fill the field below.
- Press the Activate Yubikey button to enable YubiKey-based authentication.
