How to Enable Two-factor Authentication on the VPS Control Panel

Enhancing the security of your Virtual Private Server (VPS) is crucial. This guide will walk you through the steps to enable Two-factor Authentication (2FA) in the VPS Control Panel, adding an extra layer of protection to your account.

Steps:

1. Access the Control Panel:

• Launch your preferred web browser and navigate to the Control Panel.

2. Navigate to Security Settings:

• Inside the dashboard, click on the Security button to access the security settings.

3. Install an OTP Authentication App:

• Install a One-Time Password (OTP) authentication app such as Authy, 2FAS, or Google Authenticator on your mobile device.

4. Set Up the Authenticator App:

• Scan the QR code displayed on the Control Panel using the authenticator app, or manually input the secret code provided.

5. Enter the Verification Code:

• Input the six-digit code generated by the authenticator app into the designated field in the Control Panel.

6. Activate TOTP:

• Press the Activate TOTP button to enable Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) authentication.

Optional:

• Using a YubiKey:
• If you are using a YubiKey, insert and tap your YubiKey to fill the field below.
• Press the Activate Yubikey button to enable YubiKey-based authentication.
