How to install plugins

To be able to install plugins on the Minecraft server, it's necessary for the server to be Spigot/Paper-based, but it's recommended to use Paper because it's a more optimized version.

There are two options for installing plugins. The first option is to download the plugin from a secure site like SpigotMC and upload the plugin to the server's plugins folder or the second option is to use the Plugin Installer feature in the game panel.

Option 1

Step 1 Download the plugin

We need to go to SpigotMC and find the plugin we need. For example, now i will install the "spark" plugin.

Step 2 Uploading the plugin to the server

In the Management menu, select Files. Then, search for the folder named "plugins" and open it, then, we select the Upload button and upload the previously downloaded plugin.

After adding the plugin to the plugins folder, it's necessary to restart the server for the plugin to function.

Another option would be to connect to the server via WinSCP and add plugin(s) to the plugins folder. A tutorial on how to install and use WinSCP can be found by clicking here.

Option 2

In this option, we'll be able to install plugins more easily directly from the game panel.

Plugins Installer

In the Configuration menu, we select the Plugins submenu, and here in the Plugins Installer, we could easily search for and install the plugins we need by clicking on the install button.

After adding the plugin to the plugins folder, it's necessary to restart the server for the plugin to function.
