Data Synchronization Failed
“You were kicked from the game (VerifySignatures failed)” is the most frequent obstacle in DayZ modding. It indicates a version mismatch or a missing security key between the client and the server.

The Root Causes
- Missing Key: The server has the mod files but is missing the
.bikeyin the/keys/folder. - Mod Update: A mod was updated on Steam, but your server is still running the older version.
- Corruption: A specific player’s mod download is corrupted or contains extra localized files.
Owner’s Checklist (Server-Side)
- Verify Keys: Every folder in your
-mod=startup line must have its corresponding.bikeypresent in the server’s root/keys/directory. - Force Update: Restart your server. FREAKHOSTING’s panel will automatically check for Steam Workshop updates during the boot sequence and pull the latest versions.
- Copy New Keys: Some mod updates change their key file name. Always re-copy the
.bikeyfrom the mod’sKeysfolder to the/keys/directory after a major update.
