Current Security Methods
The Global Password
As of the latest build, the primary (and most reliable) security measure is the server-wide password defined inenshrouded_server.json.
- SteamID Whitelisting: There is currently no official vanilla command for a SteamID-based whitelist (e.g.,
whitelist.json).
Community Alternatives
For server hosts who require advanced moderation (IP banning or SteamID restriction), we recommend exploring:- Third-Party Wrappers: Tools created by the community that wrap the Enshrouded executable to provide extended admin controls.
- Moderator Plugins: If you use a community management framework, you can often manually ban users via the framework’s database.
Future Updates
