External Job Market

One of the most common questions from VTC owners is whether World of Trucks (WoTr) events, such as the annual Christmas deliveries or community goals, function correctly on dedicated servers. The answer is Yes, these features are fully supported and synchronized.

1. Connecting Your Account

To participate in events on your server:
  1. Ensure your in-game profile is linked to your World of Trucks account.
  2. Select the External Contracts or External Cargo market in the job browser.
  3. These jobs use the SCS cloud for synchronization, ensuring everyone sees the same event progression.

2. Synchronization Notes

  • Speed Limits: All External Contracts are hard-locked to 90 KM/H (60 MPH) by the WoTr server. This cannot be overridden by your FREAKHOSTING server settings.
  • Real-Time: WoTr jobs operate on real-world time. If a contract says it expires in 4 hours, it will expire in 4 real hours, regardless of in-game sleep or time acceleration.

Group Events

Seasonal events are the best way to grow your server’s community. We recommend hosting “Event Nights” where all members take the same External Contract from a starting city. The WoTr system will track everyone’s individual progress towards the event rewards simultaneously.
