A frequent inquiry from Virtual Trucking Company (VTC) owners is whether World of Trucks (WoTr) events - such as the annual Christmas deliveries, specialized community goals, or Cruising campaigns - function correctly within a dedicated server environment. These features are fully supported and perfectly synchronized across our high-performance infrastructure. By using external contracts, your community can contribute to global rewards while maintaining the persistence and stability of a private convoy.

Authentication & Connection Workflow

To initialize participation in official events on your server, you must link your local profile to the SCS cloud.

Link Your Profile

Ensure your active in-game profile is correctly authenticated with your World of Trucks account credentials within the profile selection screen.

Select External Markets

Navigate to the Job Market and select either External Contracts or External Cargo.

Identify Event Jobs

Event-specific jobs are typically highlighted with unique icons or stylized cargo types (e.g., festive trailers for holiday events).

Technical Synchronization Rules

When hauling World of Trucks cargo, the game engine enforces specific constraints to maintain global leaderboard integrity. These rules override your localized server configuration.
All External Contracts are hard-locked to 90 KM/H (56 MPH) by the World of Trucks master server. This restriction is absolute and cannot be bypassed by your FREAKHOSTING server_config.sii settings or local physics mods.
Seasonal events are the most effective way to stimulate community growth. We recommend organizing “Event Nights” where all community members converge on a single starting city to accept the same External Contract. The WoTr system will verify and track each participant’s individual progress towards the global community goal simultaneously.
Because WoTr jobs are processed via the SCS API, they are highly resilient to server-side lag. Even if the dedicated server undergoes a brief network hiccup, your contract data remains secure within the SCS cloud.
