If your Icarus dedicated server is not showing in the list, first wait until the console shows Match State Changed from EnteringMap to WaitingToStart (about 3 minutes after a start). Then click Join Session in Icarus and use the toggle in the top right to switch the browser to dedicated servers, and look for the Server Name set on Startup. Restart the server after an Icarus update.

Fixes for an Icarus server that isn’t in the list

Wait for the ready lines

Open Console and wait for these lines before you look for the server:
The first start takes about 3 minutes. Red error lines before this are normal; see console errors explained.

Switch the browser to dedicated servers

In Icarus, select your character, click Join Session in the HAB menu and use the toggle in the top right corner. The browser shows player-hosted sessions until you switch it.

Search for the right name

Icarus shows the Server Name from Startup. The SessionName key in ServerSettings.ini does nothing, so don’t search for that.

Use a simple server name

Keep it within 32 characters, for example Prospectors EU. Restart after changing it.

Update the server

If Icarus updated recently, check that AUTO_UPDATE is on and restart. See server updates.

Leave the query port as it is

The Steam server list uses the [REQUIRED] Server Query Port. It is set for you; don’t change it.

Still not listed?

  • Check the STATUS on the panel Overview: the server must be running, not stopping or restarting.
  • If you use the FREAKHOSTING DDoS firewall, check your filters. See apply DDoS filters.
  • Open a ticket with your server name and the time you tried to join. The team can check the server for you.

How long after a start does my server show up?

Wait for the ready lines in the console. On our test server the first start took about 3 minutes; an update adds a few minutes more.

My server is listed but players land in a lobby. Is that wrong?

No. The server has no prospect loaded yet. Pick one in the Server Lobby, or see stuck in the lobby.

Which port is the game port?

17777 by default. Your join address and ports are on Network in the Game Panel.
