Establishing Server Identity

Every public Counter-Strike 2 server must be authenticated with a Game Server Login Token (GSLT). This token identifies the server owner to Valve and allows the server to appear in the global community browser. Without a valid token, your server will be restricted to “LAN Only” mode.

1. Generating the Token

  1. Navigate to the Steam Game Server Account Management page and log in.
  2. App ID: Enter 730 for Counter-Strike 2.
  3. Memo: Add a description (e.g., “FREAKHOSTING Primary CS2”).
  4. Click Create and copy the generated token string.

2. Applying the Token in FreakPanel

  1. Access your server’s GamePanel.
  2. Go to Configuration > Startup.
  3. Locate the field labeled Game Server Login Token (GSLT).
  4. Paste your token and ensure there are no trailing spaces.
  5. Restart the server to finalize the authentication.

Troubleshooting Auth Errors

If your console displays “Unable to determine local identity” or “Not logged into Steam,” verify that your GSLT hash is correct. Also, ensure your Steam account is not restricted (Limited accounts cannot generate valid public tokens).
