Euro Truck Simulator 2 console commands work in your own game once the developer console is on. Close the game, set uset g_developer "1" and uset g_console "1" in config.cfg, start the game and press ~. Useful commands include goto (teleport the camera), g_set_time, g_set_weather, warp, g_traffic and export_server_packages. They don’t run on the FREAKHOSTING server’s console.

Close the game

Close Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Edit config.cfg

Open config.cfg in Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\ (Linux: ~/.local/share/Euro Truck Simulator 2/; macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Euro Truck Simulator 2/) and set:

Open the console

Start the game, load your profile and press ~.

Can I use console commands on my ETS2 server?

Not these. The FREAKHOSTING server console shows the dedicated server’s output. To change a session, edit server_config.sii or use moderator chat commands such as /set_time in game. See moderators and commands.

Why does ~ not open the console in ETS2?

g_console or g_developer is still "0", or the game was open when you edited config.cfg. On some keyboard layouts the key differs; you can remap it in controls.sii.

Are there money cheats in the ETS2 console?

SCS doesn’t document a money command. Players edit their save instead; see save editing.

Do console commands work in Convoy?

The console is part of your own game, but a Convoy session synchronises time, weather and traffic for everyone. Change those for the session with moderator commands or server settings instead.
