A Satisfactory dedicated server uses two ports: 7777 over TCP and UDP for game traffic and the HTTPS Server API, and 8888 over TCP for reliable messaging, which is required since version 1.1. Ports 15000 and 15777 are no longer used since 1.0. On FREAKHOSTING both ports are already set up; players connect with your address and port 7777 only.

Which ports does my FREAKHOSTING server use?

Open Network in the Game Panel to see your allocations. Your server has port 7777 for the game and Server API, and 8888 for reliable messaging. The Startup page shows them in the command line as -Port=7777 -ReliablePort=8888. Reliable Port on the Startup page is read-only and described as “Reliable messaging port. Required for version 1.1 or above.”

Which port do players enter?

Only the game port. In the Server Manager, click Add Server, enter your IP, for example 203.0.113.10, and port 7777. The game finds the reliable messaging port by itself.

How to check that both ports are open

1

Start the server

Start the server and open the console.
2

Look for the two ready lines

Server API listening on '0.0.0.0:7777' shows the game port is open. Server streaming socket bound to port 8888 shows the reliable messaging port is open.
3

Connect

Add the server in the Server Manager with port 7777. If it fails, see connection problems.

Frequently asked questions

Do I still need ports 15000 and 15777?

No. Satisfactory stopped using them in version 1.0. Guides that mention them are out of date.

Why does my server need port 8888?

Since Satisfactory 1.1 the server uses a second TCP port for reliable messaging, and it must be reachable alongside 7777. On your server it is already allocated.

Can I change my server’s ports?

The ports come from your server’s allocations and are set for you. If you need a different port, open a ticket.

Is port 7777 TCP or UDP?

Both. Port 7777 must be open for TCP and UDP. It carries game traffic and the HTTPS Server API that the Server Manager talks to.
