To verify an SCP: Secret Laboratory server, set Contact e-mail on Game settings to a real email address, put a Pastebin page with a staff contact in serverinfo_pastebin_id, restart, then type !verify static (or !verify dynamic) in the Game Panel console and sign the Community Server Guidelines (CSG) agreement from the link it shows. Only verified servers appear in the SCP:SL server browser.

Before you start

  • Read Northwood’s latest Community Server Guidelines. Your server must follow them to stay verified.
  • Your server must be set up and running. See getting started.
  • Have an email address you check. Northwood’s Safety and Compliance team uses it to reach you.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to verify my SCP:SL server?

Only if you want it in the public server browser. Without verification, players join with the IP and port using direct connect.

How long does SCP:SL verification take?

Northwood reviews servers by hand, so it can take some time. FREAKHOSTING can’t speed it up.

Can a whitelisted server be verified?

The server browser has a filter that hides whitelisted servers, so whitelisted servers can be listed. Check the Community Server Guidelines for the current rules.

Should I use !verify static or !verify dynamic?

Use static for an IP address that doesn’t change and dynamic for one that does. Your server’s IP is shown in the Game Panel; ask us in a ticket if you’re unsure.
