What is a Dedicated IP?

Standard game hosting usually utilizes a Shared IP setup. In this configuration, multiple customers share the same IP address, but use different ports to distinguish their services:
  • Minecraft: 127.0.0.1:25565
  • FiveM: 127.0.0.1:30120
  • CS2: 127.0.0.1:27015
When you choose a Dedicated IP, your server receives its own unique address. This allows you to use the default port for your game (e.g., just 191.96.94.100 instead of 191.96.94.100:25565).

Key Benefits

1. Exclusivity & Professionalism

Your server has a distinct identity. Players don’t need to remember or type in a port number, making your server address look cleaner and more professional.

2. Enhanced Security

A dedicated IP isolates your traffic. In the event that another user on a shared IP is targeted by a DDoS attack, your server remains unaffected by the “collateral damage” of that attack.

3. Improved Reputation

Dedicated IPs often have better “reputation” with firewalls and filtering services, ensuring consistent connectivity and lower chances of being flagged by automated security systems.

How to Get a Dedicated IP

You can select the Dedicated IP option as an addon during the initial purchase process or upgrade your existing service via the Upgrade/Downgrade Options in the Billing Panel.
