Personalizing Your Server Identity

Communicating a long string of numbers and ports to your community can be cumbersome. By using our integrated subdomain tool, you can replace your numeric server IP with a professional and memorable address such as play.yourbrand.freakhosting.me. This not only simplifies the joining process for your players but also helps in establishing a recognizable brand for your gaming community.

Subdomain Configuration Workflow

Follow these steps to generate your unique server address.

Access Domain Management

Log in to the Game Panel, select your server, and click on the Subdomains tab located in the sidebar menu.

Define Your Prefix

In the Subdomain field, input the specific prefix you wish to use (e.g., play, mc, or vanilla).

Select a Root Domain

Choose from the variety of provided FREAKHOSTING root domains in the dropdown menu to complete your address.

Execute & Deploy

Click the Create button. The system will automatically generate the appropriate DNS A and SRV records to link your chosen address to your server’s current IP and port.

Technical Considerations

While our system generates the records instantly, it may take between 15 to 30 minutes for global DNS servers to update and recognize your new address. If you cannot connect immediately, wait a few minutes and try again.
If your server’s numeric IP changes (e.g., during a node migration), our system will automatically attempt to update your active subdomain records. However, we recommend verifying your subdomain settings after any major service relocation.

Multi-Service Subdomains

You can create unique subdomains for each of your servers. For example, you could have survival.yourbrand.freakhosting.me pointing to your main server and creative.yourbrand.freakhosting.me pointing to your secondary instance.
