Securing Your Driving Paradise

Whether you are hosting a private league race or a closed-group cruise, securing your BeamMP server is an essential step to prevent uninvited players from joining.

Configuration Settings

Open your ServerConfig.toml to access the essential security variables:
  • Private Setting: Set Private = true. This will hide your server from the public masterlist in the game launcher.
  • Passkey Enforcement: Some older versions of BeamMP do not include a native “Password” field. In these cases, you must use a Lua Whitelist Plugin to check a player’s ID upon join.

Verification

If your AuthKey is correctly set but Private is true, players will only be able to join by using the “Direct Connect” feature in the BeamMP launcher and entering your IP and Port manually.
