This Hytale server hosting guide lists every FREAKHOSTING help page for Hytale. Your server runs the official Hytale dedicated server on Java 25 and uses QUIC over UDP (port 5520 by default). In the Game Panel, the Game settings page edits config.json (name, password, view distance, game mode, default world and whitelist), and Startup holds the start-up options. New here? Start with getting started.

Most asked

  1. Best server settings: what each setting in config.json and Game settings does.
  2. QUIC handshake failed or world not loading: version, UDP and the official network driver fixes.

  4. Optimise performance: view distance and memory.
  5. Default port: UDP 5520, no port forwarding needed.
  6. Add an admin: operators and permissions.json.
  7. Whitelist: only named players can join.
  8. Upload a singleplayer world: bring your world from your PC.
