Reversing Restrictions

Mistaken bans happen. Mordhau stores its ban data in a flat text file, allowing you to easily view, edit, or remove entries without needing to be in-game. This is the most reliable way to handle appeals or correct accidental bans.

1. Locating the Ban List

  1. Navigate to /Mordhau/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/.
  2. Locate the file named BanList.txt.
  3. Open the file to see the list of restricted PlayFab IDs and their associated reasons.

2. Removing a Ban

The format for an entry is typically PlayFabID:Reason.
  1. To unban a player, simply delete their entire line of data from the file.
  2. Save the changes.
  3. Important: You must Restart the server or use the in-game command unban [PlayFabID] while logged in as an admin for the change to take effect immediately.
