Reversing Restrictions
Mistaken bans happen. Mordhau stores its ban data in a flat text file, allowing you to easily view, edit, or remove entries without needing to be in-game. This is the most reliable way to handle appeals or correct accidental bans.

1. Locating the Ban List
- Navigate to
/Mordhau/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/. - Locate the file named
BanList.txt. - Open the file to see the list of restricted PlayFab IDs and their associated reasons.
2. Removing a Ban
The format for an entry is typicallyPlayFabID:Reason.
- To unban a player, simply delete their entire line of data from the file.
- Save the changes.
- Important: You must Restart the server or use the in-game command
unban [PlayFabID]while logged in as an admin for the change to take effect immediately.
