txAdmin is a web panel from Cfx.re for running and moderating RedM and FiveM servers. It is off by default on FREAKHOSTING RedM servers. To turn it on, set Enable txadmin to 1 in Startup and start the server. The console shows a 4-digit PIN; click Open txAdmin (port 40120), enter the PIN, link your Cfx.re account and choose a deployment type, such as the VORP recipe.

Before you start

  • Your licence key. See how to get a RedM licence key. txAdmin asks for it during setup.
  • A Cfx.re account. It becomes the main (master) txAdmin admin.

How to turn on txAdmin

1

Set Enable txadmin to 1

Open your server in the Game Panel and click Startup. Change Enable txadmin from 0 to 1, then click outside the field. It saves on its own.
2

Start the server and copy the PIN

Click Console, then Start. txAdmin starts and prints a box with “All ready! Please access” and a 4-digit PIN. The console then says “Please open txAdmin on the browser to configure your server.” The game server waits until you finish the setup.
3

Click Open txAdmin

Click Open txAdmin next to your server’s IP at the top of the page. txAdmin opens on port 40120.
4

Enter the PIN and link your account

Enter the PIN, click Link account and sign in with your Cfx.re account. Set a backup password and register.
5

Choose a deployment type

Pick an option from the table below and follow txAdmin’s steps. Paste your licence key when txAdmin asks for it.
6

Save and run

Check the server.cfg that txAdmin shows you and click Save & Run Server.
The console note “open port 40120 on your OS Firewall as well as in the hosting provider” is a general txAdmin message. Port 40120 is already assigned to your FREAKHOSTING server; you don’t need to open anything.

Which txAdmin deployment type should I pick?

A recipe is deployed into its own folder under txData, with its own server.cfg and resources. The panel’s Server config and Resources pages edit the main folder, which that server doesn’t use. Edit a recipe server’s files in txAdmin or with Files in its folder.

Where does txAdmin keep its data?

In txData/default in your server’s main folder. It holds txAdmin’s settings, admins and the folders of deployed recipes. Include it in your backups.

How do I turn txAdmin off?

Set Enable txadmin back to 0 in Startup and restart. The server then starts from the main folder’s server.cfg again. The Open txAdmin button stays visible, but nothing answers on port 40120 while txAdmin is off.

Frequently asked questions

Does txAdmin work with RedM?

Yes. txAdmin’s version 6 release notes say it added full RedM compatibility, a RedM-themed in-game menu, and CFX Default and VORP recipes. Your server runs txAdmin 8.

I lost the txAdmin PIN. What now?

The PIN is shown in the Console while txAdmin has no admin account. Restart the server and read the console again. After registering, you sign in with your Cfx.re account or backup password.

Why does Open txAdmin show nothing?

txAdmin is off. Set Enable txadmin to 1 in Startup and start the server.

Can other people help me manage txAdmin?

Yes. Add them in txAdmin’s admin manager. If they also need the console or files, add them as a Game Panel sub-user.
