This Euro Truck Simulator 2 server hosting guide lists every FREAKHOSTING help page for ETS2. Your server runs SCS Software’s Convoy dedicated server. In the Game Panel you set Lobby name, Max Players and Steam Auth token on Startup. Everything else, such as the password, moderators and traffic, is in server_config.sii, which you edit in Files. How many players can join my ETS2 server?

Up to 8. SCS limits a Convoy dedicated server to 8 players, and the game keeps max_players at 8 even if you enter more. See max players.

Do I need to own Euro Truck Simulator 2 to run the server?

No. SCS says the dedicated server runs without owning the game or its DLC. You need the game to export server_packages and to play, and to create a Steam logon token.

Can I use mods and DLC on my ETS2 server?

Yes. Export server_packages.sii and server_packages.dat from your game with the DLC and mods you want, then upload them to the config folder. See export server packages.

Is this the same as TruckersMP?

No. Your server is SCS’s own Convoy mode, which is built into the game. TruckersMP is a separate multiplayer mod with its own servers.
