kick, ban, unban, banned, save, setworldmodifier and setworldpreset. Cheat commands (god, ghost, debugmode, spawn and others) need devcommands and work in single player or on a world you host from the game, not on a dedicated server.
How to open the Valheim console
- Keyboard: press F5.
- If F5 does nothing: turn on the developer console in the game’s settings menu, or add
-consoleto Valheim’s Steam launch options (right-click Valheim > Properties > General > Launch options). The launch option overrides the setting.

Why does the console not open when I press F5?
The console is off in your game. Turn it on in the settings menu or add-console to the Steam launch options.
How do I find a player’s ID to ban them?
