Professional Sim-Rig Setup
For the ultimate trucking experience, many drivers transition from a single screen to a triple monitor setup. This expansion provides a massive field of view (FOV), allowing you to use your side mirrors and monitor intersections naturally without manually rotating the camera. Although this is a local client configuration, understanding the correct setup is important for a smooth and synchronized multiplayer experience.Difficulty

Local Client Configuration
Triple monitor support is currently handled outside the standard in-game options menu and requires manual edits to your local configuration files.Locate config.cfg
On your PC, navigate to the directory
Documents/American Truck Simulator/ and open the config.cfg file with a text editor like Notepad or VS Code.Update Multimon Mode
Find the line
uset r_multimon_mode "0" and update the value to suit your setup:2: Standard three-screen configuration (horizontally stretched across all displays).4: Advanced multi-view (enables bezel correction and precise monitor angling).
Multiplayer Considerations
While multiple monitors primarily provide a visual enhancement, they interact with networked servers in specific ways that you should keep in mind.- Server Performance
- Spatial Perception
A triple monitor configuration has zero impact on server resources. The server only tracks your truck coordinates and trailer state; the resolution and number of screens used to render the game are handled entirely by your local GPU.
