Content Injection: Mods & Scenarios

The lifeblood of Arma 3 is its community. Whether you are running a casual “King of the Hill” server or a hardcore “Milsim” unit, you will need to install custom modifications (@Mods) and mission files (.pbo).

Installing Mods (@ModName)

  1. Download: Subscribe to the mod on the Steam Workshop, then locate the folder on your PC.
  2. Structure: A proper mod folder (e.g., @ACE3) contains subfolders like addons and keys.
  3. Upload: Upload the entire folder to the root directory of your game server via SFTP.
  4. Keys: Copy the .bikey files from the mod’s keys folder to the server’s /keys/ folder.
  5. Activate: Add the folder name to your startup parameters.
    • Example: -mod=@CBA_A3;@ACE3;@RHSUSAF

Installing Missions (Mission.Map.pbo)

A mission file is a single package containing the scripts, unit placements, and objectives for a specific scenario.
  1. Locate: Find your .pbo file (e.g., MyOperation.Altis.pbo).
  2. Upload: Place this file into the /mpmissions/ directory on the server.
  3. Config (Optional): If you want it to load automatically, edit the class Missions block in your server.cfg.
