Roleplay Framework: Altis Life

Altis Life is the grandfather of modern RP servers. It transforms the military simulator into a civilian life simulator with police, medics, drug runs, and persistence. Unlike standard missions, it requires a complex backend involving a MySQL database.

Database Injection

  1. Create DB: Go to the Databases tab in your panel and create a new MySQL database.
  2. Import Schema: Open phpMyAdmin. Select your new database and use the Import tab to upload the altis_life.sql (or similar) file from your mission framework download.
  3. Bridge Config: Open @extDB3/extdb3-conf.ini on your server. Enter your database name, username, and password into the [AltisLife] block.

Server-Side Logic

Altis Life splits its code into two parts: the Mission (Client) and the Server (Backend).
  1. Mission: Upload Altis_Life.Altis.pbo to /mpmissions/.
  2. Server Mod: Upload the @life_server folder to the root directory.
  3. Startup: Add @life_server and @extDB3 to your server mods parameter -servermod=@life_server;@extDB3.
