One of the biggest challenges on a survival server is protecting player builds from griefers. GriefPrevention is the premier solution, allowing players to claim land intuitively using a visual “Golden Shovel” system.

Core Mechanics
The Golden Shovel
GriefPrevention does not rely on complex coordinate systems. Instead, you use a Golden Shovel to mark your territory.- Corner A: Right-click the ground to set the first anchor point.
- Corner B: Right-click at the opposite diagonal corner.
- Success: Gold and glowstone markers will appear, confirming your claim.
Earning Claim Blocks
Players earn “Claim Blocks” just by playing on the server (usually 100 blocks per hour). This prevents single players from claiming massive areas of the map instantly.Trust and Permissions
You can grant specific levels of access to other players within your claimed territory using simple commands:/trust <player>: Full building and container access./containerTrust <player>: Allows opening chests and furnaces, but no building./accessTrust <player>: Allows opening doors and pressing buttons./untrust <player>: Revokes all permissions for that player.
Administrative Tools
As an administrator, you have overriding authority to manage all claims:/ignoreclaims: Toggles an “Overdrive” mode allowing you to edit any claim./adminclaims: Puts your shovel into “Admin Mode” for protecting spawns and hubs./deleteclaim: Instantly removes the claim you are standing in./adjustbonusclaimblocks <player> <amount>: Grant extra blocks to donors or staff.
