Before you start
- NuVotifier needs its own port. Open a ticket and ask for an extra port for Votifier. NuVotifier’s usual default is
8192, but on our servers you use the port we add. - Choose a reward plugin, such as VotingPlugin. NuVotifier includes no vote listeners, so without one a vote arrives and nothing happens.
How to install and configure NuVotifier

Install the plugins
On Plugins, install NuVotifier and your reward plugin. See install plugins.

Start once
Restart the server so NuVotifier creates its config and keys, then click Stop.

Set the port
In Files, open NuVotifier’s Use your own port number. Leave the listen address at
config.yml (in plugins/Votifier/ or plugins/NuVotifier/). Set port to your extra port:0.0.0.0. Click Save Content and start the server.4
Copy your public key
Open
rsa/public.key in the same folder and copy its whole content.5
Register on the list sites
On each server list site, enter your server address, the Votifier port and the public key.

Test
Use the list site’s Test vote button. NuVotifier also has a
testvote command that simulates a vote. NuVotifier logs the vote, and your reward plugin should reward the player.What are tokens?
Newer list sites can use a token instead of the public key. NuVotifier creates one undertokens: in config.yml with the name default. If a site asks for a token, copy that value. Sites that ask for a public key use the key from rsa/public.key.
How to reward players for voting
NuVotifier only receives votes. Your reward plugin decides what happens. With VotingPlugin, rewards are set in its own config files, for example money (with Vault), items or commands run as the console. Check the reward plugin’s own guide for the format, then restart and test with a vote.Votifier troubleshooting
Which server list sites work with NuVotifier?
Most Minecraft server list sites send votes with the Votifier protocol, and NuVotifier understands both the classic public-key method and the newer token method. On each site, look for a section such as “Votifier” in your server’s settings. Enter:- Votifier IP or host: your server’s IP, for example
203.0.113.10. - Votifier port: the extra port we gave you.
- Public key or token: whichever the site asks for.
Frequently asked questions
What port does Votifier use?
NuVotifier’s usual default is8192. On our servers, use the extra port we add for you, and enter the same port on every list site.
Why don’t votes arrive?
Check thatport in config.yml matches the extra port, that you restarted, and that you pasted the whole public key with no extra spaces. Then test from the list site and watch the console.
Votes arrive but players get nothing. Why?
NuVotifier has no rewards. Install a reward plugin such as VotingPlugin and set up its rewards.Can I use Votifier on a Velocity network?
