cfg/server_cfg.ini is the main config file of the Assetto Corsa dedicated server. It sets the server name (NAME), track (TRACK, CONFIG_TRACK), cars (CARS), player limit (MAX_CLIENTS), assists, wear, voting, sessions and weather. On your FREAKHOSTING server you edit it in Files while the server is stopped. The panel writes the passwords and ports on every start; every other line keeps your value.

How to edit server_cfg.ini

1

Stop the server

2

Open the file

Click Files, open cfg and click server_cfg.ini.
3

Change values and save

Change only the value after =. Keep the key names and section headers as they are, then save.
4

Frequently asked questions

Why do my password changes in server_cfg.ini disappear?

The panel writes PASSWORD and ADMIN_PASSWORD from Startup on every start. See server and admin password.

Can I edit server_cfg.ini while the server is running?

Stop it first. The server reads the file when it starts, so changes apply after a restart.

Can I use a server_cfg.ini from Content Manager?

Yes. Content Manager’s Pack creates one. The panel still sets passwords and ports. See Content Manager server presets.

How do I hide my server from the online list?

Set REGISTER_TO_LOBBY=0. Players then need your address to join, so most owners keep it at 1 and use a password instead.
