Visual Server Management

Manually editing numerous .ini files can be a time-consuming and error-prone process for server administrators. The Content Manager (CM) desktop application provides a sophisticated graphical user interface (GUI) that simplifies this task. By using the “Server” module within CM, you can visually configure every aspect of your racing environment - from car grids and track variations to complex weather patterns - and then export a perfectly formatted data package for deployment on your FREAKHOSTING dedicated server.

The “Pack Data” Workflow

The most efficient method for managing your server is to treat your local Content Manager as the “Master” configuration and push updates to your hosted node.
1

Initialize the Server Tab

Launch Content Manager on your local PC and navigate to the Server tab located in the top navigation bar.
2

Configure the Session

use the visual menus to select your track, populate your car list, and define the session rules (e.g., qualifying length, race laps, and physics).
3

Generate the Data Bundle

Once your configuration is complete, locate and click the Pack button in the bottom utility bar.
4

Deploy to Hosting

Content Manager will generate a compressed .zip file containing all necessary .ini and JSON files. Upload this archive to your server’s root directory via the Game Panel and extract it to apply all settings instantly.

Strategic Advantages

Packing data directly from your local installation ensures that your entry_list.ini and server_cfg.ini are perfectly synchronized with the car and track folders on your machine. This effectively eliminates common “Checksum” or “Car Missing” errors that occur during manual configuration.
Content Manager allows you to easily enable CSP features, such as “Extended Physics” or “Weather FX,” without needing to memorize the specific technical syntax required in the configuration files.

Updating Your Server

Whenever you wish to change the car rotation or track, simply update the settings in Content Manager, re-pack the data, and overwrite the existing files on your server. This “GUI-first” approach is the fastest way to maintain a dynamic racing community.
