How to Change Tyre Wear, Fuel and Damage on an Assetto Corsa Server

To change tyre wear on an Assetto Corsa server, set TYRE_WEAR_RATE in cfg/server_cfg.ini: 0 means no wear and 100 is realistic. Fuel use (FUEL_RATE) and damage (DAMAGE_MULTIPLIER) work the same way. Your FREAKHOSTING server starts with all three at 100. Stop the server, edit the file in Files and start it again. Car physics themselves come from the car’s data and can’t be changed from the server.

Values above 100 make tyres and fuel run out faster, which forces pit stops in shorter races.

Can I change car physics on the server?

No. Grip, power and handling come from each car’s data files. The server only checks that every player’s car data matches the server’s copy (data.acd). Why are my tyres losing grip so fast?

Check TYRE_WEAR_RATE and the tyre temperature. Without blankets (TYRE_BLANKETS_ALLOWED=0), cold tyres have less grip on the first laps.

How do I turn off damage?

Set DAMAGE_MULTIPLIER=0 and restart.

Can I give one car more weight instead?

Yes. Use BALLAST in entry_list.ini or the /ballast admin command.
