Alert Channels
FREAKHOSTING supports three primary channels for security alerts:
- Discord Webhooks: Get a stylized message in your staff or community Discord server.
- Slack Webhooks: Ideal for business tasks and team coordination.
- Internal Email: Traditional alerts sent directly to your registered account email.
Discord & Slack Integration
To set up a webhook alert:
- Create a webhook in your Discord or Slack channel (usually under Integrations).
- Copy the Webhook URL.
- In the Firewall Panel, go to the Notifications tab.
- Click Add Notification Channel.
- Select Discord or Slack.
- Paste the URL and click Test and Save.
Email Alerts
Email notifications are enabled by default for critical events. You can manage these settings to:
- Set a “Minimum Severity” threshold (e.g., only notify me for “High” severity attacks).
- Add additional recipient email addresses for your technical team.
Notification Testing
Always use the Send Test Notification button after saving a new channel to ensure your firewall is communicating correctly with your alerting service.
