Accessing the File Manager

1

Navigate to Files

Log in to the Web Panel and select your website. Click on the Files tab in the top navigation bar.
2

Select Document Root

For your primary website, files are typically located in the public_html directory. Double-click the folder name in the side tree or main list to enter it.

Essential Operations

The File Manager supports all standard file system actions. Most can be performed by Right-Clicking a file or folder:
ActionDescription
New File/FolderCreate blank files or directories in the current path.
UploadDrag and drop files from your computer or use the upload button.
EditOpen the integrated code editor with syntax highlighting.
CompressSelection multiple files and right-click to create a .zip or .tar.gz archive.
UncompressExtract uploaded zip files directly on the server.
PermissionsModify CHMOD values (e.g., 755 for folders, 644 for files).

Using the Integrated Code Editor

You don’t need to download and re-upload files to make quick changes.
  1. Right-click any text-based file (e.g., .php, .html, .css, or .js).
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Use the Save button in the top right corner to commit changes instantly.
  4. The editor supports keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+S for saving and Ctrl+F for searching within the file.

Best Practices

Before making significant changes to your code, use the Compress feature to create a zip of the folder. If anything goes wrong, you can simply extract your backup to restore the site.
While the web-based upload is convenient, we recommend using an FTP Client (like FileZilla) for folders larger than 1GB to ensure connection stability.

Deletion is Permanent

Files deleted through the File Manager are permanently removed from the server. Ensure you have a backup before purging files, especially the wp-config.php or .htaccess files.
