Traders (Jen, Joel, Bob, Hugh, and Rekt) provide essential supplies, quests, and safety. Understanding their mechanics is key to a successful 7D2D run.

Standard Opening Hours
By default, all traders in the wasteland follow a strict schedule:- Open: 06:05
- Close: 21:50
Area Protection
The safety of a trader station is controlled by theTraderAreaProtection setting in serverconfig.xml:
- True (Default): The area is indestructible. Players cannot dismantle the trader’s base, and zombies cannot damage it.
- False: The station can be destroyed. This is generally not recommended for public servers.
24/7 Traders
The game does not have a native XML setting to keep traders open at night. To achieve this, you must install a third-party mod like “Always Open Traders”.Support Channels
