Branded Onboarding

because loading screens are handled on the client-side files in DayZ, you cannot simply swap an image in the server folder. You must force the client to download a mod that overrides the default visuals.

Use a multipurpose mod like DayZ-Editor-Loader or a dedicated Loading Screen mod from the Workshop.
  1. Install the mod on your server.
  2. Locate the JSON config file in your /profiles/ folder.
  3. Paste a direct URL to your branding image (e.g., from Imgur or your own web host).
  4. The mod will automatically download and display the image to every joining player.

Option 2: The Manual Way (Advanced)

If you want a truly independent experience, you must use the DayZ Tools suite to pack your own PBO:
  1. Convert your PNG/JPG logo to the internal .edds format.
  2. Define the image path in a config.cpp file.
  3. Pack the mod with Addon Builder and upload it to your own Steam Workshop page.
