txAdmin is pre-installed and always switched on for FREAKHOSTING FiveM servers, so you don’t install it yourself. To set it up, start the server, copy the 4-digit PIN from the Console, click Open txAdmin next to your IP (port 40120), enter the PIN, link your Cfx.re account, set a backup password and choose a deployment type.

Before you start

  • A licence key in Startup > FxServer License Key. See how to get a FiveM licence key.
  • A Cfx.re account. This becomes the main (master) txAdmin admin.

How to set up txAdmin

Start the server and copy the PIN

Open your server in the Game Panel, click Console and click Start. On the first start, txAdmin prints a 4-digit PIN in the console.

Click Open txAdmin

Click Open txAdmin next to your server’s IP at the top of the page. txAdmin opens in a new tab on port 40120.

Enter the PIN and link your account

Enter the PIN, click Link account, sign in with Cfx.re and click Continue. Set a backup password, accept the licence agreements and click Register.

Name your server

Enter a server name. txAdmin uses it in its own pages and messages, not in the FiveM server list.

Choose a deployment type

Pick one of the options in the table below and follow txAdmin’s steps. Paste your licence key when txAdmin asks for it.

Save and run

Check the server.cfg that txAdmin shows you and click Save & Run Server.

Which txAdmin deployment type should I pick?

Why does Server config say “txAdmin runs this server”?

Because txAdmin starts the server and reads server.cfg from the folder you chose during its setup. The panel’s Server config and Resources pages edit the main folder of your server.
Pick this server’s main folder in txAdmin’s setup, or the changes you make on Server config and Resources are not used. If you deployed a recipe into another folder, edit server.cfg and resources in txAdmin or with Files in that folder instead.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn txAdmin off?

No. Enable / Disable TxAdmin is read-only on FREAKHOSTING FiveM servers. You can still use the panel’s Console, Server config and Resources pages next to txAdmin.

I lost the txAdmin PIN. What now?

The PIN is shown in the Console while txAdmin has no admin account. Restart the server and read the console again. Once you have registered, you sign in with your Cfx.re account or backup password instead.

What is the txAdmin port?

txAdmin listens on port 40120. Players join on your game port, for example 203.0.113.10:30120, not on the txAdmin port.

Can other people help me manage txAdmin?

Yes. Add them as admins in txAdmin’s admin manager for in-game moderation. If they also need the console or files, add them as a Game Panel subuser.
