Your server’s entry in the Rust Master List is your primary marketing tool. A high-resolution header image and a clear, well-formatted description can significantly increase your “click-through” rate and attract new players to your community.

Visual Requirements

The Header Image is the large banner displayed when a player clicks your server in the browser.
  • Recommended Size: 1024x512 pixels (2:1 aspect ratio).
  • Format: Must be a direct link to a .jpg or .png file.
  • Hosting: Use a reliable host like Imgur. Ensure the link ends in the file extension (e.g., https://i.imgur.com/image.jpg).

Configuration Methods

Fill in the following fields in your FREAKHOSTING panel:
  • Server Description: Use \n to create line breaks for readability.
  • Header Image: Paste your direct image URL.
  • Server URL: Link your Discord or Storefront.

2. Manual Config (server.cfg)

Navigate to /server/{identity}/cfg/server.cfg and add: 
server.headerimage "https://i.imgur.com/yourimage.jpg"
server.description "Line 1\nLine 2\nLine 3"
server.url "https://discord.gg/yourlink"

Marketing Tip

Keep your description concise. Players rarely read more than the first three lines. Highlight your core features immediately (e.g., “2x Loot | No BPs | Solo/Duo Only”).
