Developer Oversight: The Console
Unlike the traditional console systems in most survival games, Sons of the Forest utilizes a hidden “Cheatstick” menu to access administrative powers. This menu allows hosts to spawn items, fly (debugcamera), and instantly build massive structures for community events.

Activation Process
To open the console, you must first bypass the game’s developer lock:
- Enter the “Cheat”: While in-game (not in a menu), type the word
cheatstick using your keyboard. You do not need to open a text box; simply type it blindly while in the world.
- Access Menu: Press the F1 key.
- Verification: A text prompt should appear in the top-left corner of the screen. If it does not appear, ensure you typed the word correctly without any pauses.
